Paid for gift card via Paypal - Haven't received anything

Hi there,

Earlier today I  Paid for gift cards via Paypal. Seller isn't replying to my messages since I paid. I haven't received anything. I'd like to stop my payment as I am afraid that this is a scam. I will give more detail once I get a reply.

Only a seller can cancel a completed order, paypal offers buyer protection (terms and conditions of course) for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.

However to give advice you need to say how you paid ie which paypal option and how you funded your paypal payment.

I paid with funds from my bank account. There is a 10 day waiting period though I see when I log into my bank account before the funds get released. I can't cancel the transaction though. I'd like to know if there's a way to cancel this since the funds are on hold in my account for the time being?

I also now have confirmation that I've been scammed. At first I was text messaging the seller on his cell phone back and forth. Earlier today I see the listing still up and messaged the seller via the app (he didn't know it was me) asking if it's still available. They replied "yes it's still available"
