PayPal in the Netherlands

Has anyone in the NL had bad experiences verifying accounts with PayPal NL? My fiance is a British subject living in the Netherlands and is having trouble verifying her account with Deutchesbank who is the franchisee for PayPal in Germany and the Netherlands. They will not accept any of her documents. That is her British Passport - She's not Dutch so she cannot get a residence card. They have also lied about the contents of her bank statement, claiming it is devoid of her address when that is clearly stated. Is this normal or a Brexit problem?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

That's not the problem. She has been a resident there for 40 years. The problem is getting documents accepted by the franchisee that runs PayPal there.
