I've been using paypal for over a year now. And I haven't really had any problems. I just moved and singed a new lease so I could live with my girlfriend. I sold some of my gold that I got off of apmex so I could pay off a few months of rent while I adjust to my new area and get a new job. I got around $8,500 in total which is really nothing compared to my rent for the year. I was planing on selling more but paypal limited my account for 5 days so I was a little suspicious that I couldn't withdrawal any of my money. Something told me to not sell anything till this was fixed. Well they made me wait the full 5 days and their emails and support urged me to keep selling. On the 5th day (this morning) they limited my account and said I can't get my money for 180 days. Which shocked me. And they block any way for me to call them on support and only gave me this option for help. I don't know what to do. I can't pay rent on my new place and the only option I have is to find a job in 1 week. Which is impossible for me right now. I contacted the buyer and told him my situation hoping he could send it another way and I just refund the money to him. I'm hoping he's trustworthy and understandable. If that doesn't help then the only thing left is to sue paypal. I'm going to be calling my lawyer in a couple of hours considering this is going to ruin my life. I'm **bleep** and theirs nothing I can do. The customer is happy and I'm happy with the price so whats the issue paypal? Apparently this has been happening alot and they take the money and invest it and won't return it. Sometimes upward to a year. Which is beautiful. I really hope some type of karma comes back to people who do this. If anyone can help me get my money back that would be a godsend. I really appreciate it.

That would be a permanent ban, I guess for breaking their acceptable use policy on the sale of precious metals as per link?

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full

So paypal holds the funds for 180 days in case of any buyer disputes and after that you should be able to withdraw it unless they confiscate it under this policy 'if' you have broken it.
