The seller is a top rated seller, doesn't have ABN that I know of and I think that is why paypal sided with him. Laptop was also purchased 4 months ago.
But if it is a 6 month guarantee on defective problems, shouldn't the buyer win the case or is that only with business numbers and not private sales?
I haven't yet contacted paypal or ebay to see why they rejected me. I am going to get doctoral papers to show my problem and also take a video displaying the problem. The Problem is the keyboard and the keys do not press down right and only work some of the time and I am asking for a refund for repairs on the laptop which has caused possible long term health problems. Maybe I should ask for a full refund and that may work better?
The seller is <removed> (I hope that paypal is okay with me revealing this, please don't remove this thread without telling me why). For the first month I was not using the keyboard as I was browsing youtube and left positive feedback. Personally, i do not recommend buying from <removed> as he should be honest with ALL defects and imperfections as I do as a seller, even things that are not obvious to the eye. The laptop was sold without refunds and I can't bring the listing up as it was older than 3 months. The listing was listed as refurbished and no refunds. I questioned prior to sale will you refund if there is an issue with laptop and he didn't give me a direct answer but I assumed I was covered by either paypal or ebay.
I owned the same laptop in the past and had similar problems with the keyboard from the day I purchased it and needed a new laptop as I spilled eucalyptus oil on it and was irreparable. Lenovo Ideapad 300 15isk and seller claims he didn't know it was an issue and sold it on behalf on his mother with failing eyesight.

Here is my contact with seller via ebay messages from newest to oldest within the last week.

Also here is an important message I sent to Garfie less than one month after the sale when i first started using the keyboard within an ebay time frame for returns. I should have gone for a refund at this stage, but needed a laptop to use as didn't have a 2nd one and thought problem might go away which it didn't. Seller still refuses to admit the problem. Or is it possible the keyboard isn't working due to a climate issue - shrinking/expanding of the keyboard if he lives in a humid climate?
