Hi lovely PayPal community, hope your'e all good tonight?
I really need your help please on an Item I purchased via ONBUY where the seller's name Is WEE TRADING.
Apple Airpod Pro's were purchased by myself on or around the 27th Nov via PayPal & didn't arrive In time for my Son's birthday, so I got In touch with the seller & they agreed to take them back to a place In Manchester so I naturally thought all would go well?
However, they just received the Item & state that the packaging was not sealed & It had been opened, which was a 100% lie as I know It was packaged Impeccably, so they've decided that I am not eligible for a refund & I'm now raging as It's something I paid a lot of money for ( over £175 ) & now I'm left substantially out of pocket.
I've been In touch with them expressing how I feel as I can't believe I've been treated this way but they're yet to reply & having raised this with PayPal there Isn't a drop down menu to open a case except going down the unauthorised goods route or words to that effect & they see no wrong, so please help me, all I want Is a refund, not a lot to ask Is It now?
Thanks so much should anyone be able to help me?
Regards
Darren

If and only if you sent the item back with a tracking number that proves delivery of the item back to the seller then...
How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?
You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item OR service
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website
By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.
If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. Paypal will review the claim and decide on reimbursement.
These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.
To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page.
Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute
DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.
If you win paypal would expect that tracking number to show delivery to the seller before they could enforce a refund.
If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.
Lastly small claims court?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
