Refund

I was trying to pay for an item which was the money was never going through to the other guys account, and i tried many times and instead tried to pay as a friend, and it worked but he had to refund it as it was against eBay's guidelines, the problem is, i sent the money to the wrong account because the buyer said he sent me a request so i accepted it but it wasn't the request from him, now i sent the money to the wrong person and it was too late to cancel and only noticed once the seller told me he hadn't received the money, i tried opening a case but since i authorized the transaction nothing came of it, have i lost my money or is there a possibility i can get it back?

Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear that this has happened. I can understand wanting to get this cleared up! If you sent money to the wrong person and the transaction status shows as Completed, I would recommend reaching out to the person who received the money directly and ask them to refund you. If you sent the transaction as Friends and Family, unfortunately you would not be covered by PayPal Buyer Protection so working with the recipient of that money would be the best option.
