Ryanair refund

So I received email yday telling me that my case with Ryanair was closed in my favour and that I would be refunded the full amount only to get a second email a few hours later stating the following: "We reviewed your transaction(s) and are denying your claim(s). This decision was made because a credit for this transaction has already posted to your account." What exactly does this mean? I have not received any money back and now PayPal are going to take the full amount from my bank account again. This would mean I am down the same amount again. The dispute was closed in my favour surely that should have been the end of it. As the dispute is closed I can no longer pursue a refund through paypal. Where exactly is the buyers protection here? Paid for a service, did not receive as seller cancelled and now I'm expected to allow PayPal to take money again from me. I can not find anything on PayPal website to explain what a provisional credit is. It seems like they are closing all Ryanair disputes this way and it seems extremely unfair. Siding with the buyer who by all rights should be awarded their money back and then quickly changing to say the complete opposite. Absolute scam

Exactly the same thing has just happened to me, also with cancelled Ryanair flights. I am hoping it this is due to some kind of administrative or technical error as it makes no sense to me whatsoever. PayPal’s own records must surely show that no refund had been received by the buyer.

I am having the exact same issue as you it seems. I got an email last night saying the case was closed in my favour, then the same email you describe this early this morning! The emails seem very contradictory. I will probably give it a couple of days to see how it ends up and then contact PayPal for clarification. Let me know if you find out any more information!

Yep, see this thread for more info, but sounds like we should still be getting a refund shortly:
