STOP USING PAY PAL to make transactions with Chinese Companies

Pay Pal is allowing Chinese Companies to commit FRAUD.  These companies sell items on fake web sites usually with too good to be true bargains.

You wait for weeks to receive items and either never receive the item or receive something much smaller which has nothing to do with your order.

The companies will provide a tracking number to show Pay Pal they have shipped an item.  But Pay Pal has no idea that the item is not what you ordered.

People need to stop making these transactions with these companies and report them as FRAUD to the BBB. Better Business Bureau so they can be flagged.

Please do not do business with Soweway, a Chinese company.   They did not send what was advertised.  I ordered 2 golf sets and received 2 golf balls.  I have had multiple emails with them regarding this transaction, but there has been no satisfaction.  They finally told me that was what I had ordered (false).

Any idea on what steps to take after they deny claim because of fake shipment tracking by merchant?  The merchant was through shopify & has taken down the site.  Paypal said they got a shipping confirmation from them but it was obviously fake.  I wanted Paypal to send me the shipping info so I could follow up but it says my claim is closed so I apparently can't respond back to them.

@Mo99999

Mainly persistence...

You have ten days to start an appeal, but time at PayPal is no longer linear and that time may already be up (*I was notified 7 days after I escalated my dispute to a claim that it was denied, and informed the following day my 10 day window to appeal had expired)

My advice is to go to the carrier the fake/erroneous tracking number belongs to, and obtain documentation that shows the actually delivery information, and submit it, via the messaging system, as many times as it takes to get PayPal to fix it. At the same time I would report it to the bank or credit card company you use with your PayPal account, and get them to initiate an investigation.

Good luck!

You MUST research the websites before ordering. Many of these FRAUD websites have all their bases covered. The website name is not usually shown in your card statement or transaction record with your card issuer, or with PayPal, so you MUST report the website name/domain when you contact your card issuing bank or PayPal. If they have enough of these reports it might get someone to notice. Report everything with everyone you can, always mentioning the website name (domain name).

If you research the company, you will find many reports of fraud. The problem is that people see a bargain and jump at it.

After falling victim to this myself I am considering closing my account. It's quite obvious this has been going on for a while and PayPal is doing nothing to stop it. SHAME ON YOU PAY PAL!

A while back I found a website that told you how to steal from PayPal and USA buyers It was a Chinese forum section and gave tips on stealing and lying to rip us off. I read how to find companies to steal from and how to do so. It was a huge network of thieves yet they allowed people to view the forum and offer hints. Really sad to see that.
