Scammed using Facebook Messenger pay "send money to friend"

my PayPal debit card is linked to fund facebook messenger pay. sent money to a supposed friend 3 times for total of 2200 to buy a car that rurned out not to be hers. Do I have any recourse or am I able to dispute charges for those payments having made them in that manner?

Sorry, it’s a friends and family payment so no purchase protection. If you paid by credit card, do a chargeback. Otherwise, small claims court. Gotta watch out when sending funds in exchange for goods and services, use the Send & Request tab to send a goods and services payment.
Even then, not all types of transactions are compatible with PayPal. Vehicles are not covered under purchase protection for either party.
