Seller scam

I recently bought fuel injectors and supplier assured me they were originals.  I have the chat written on eBay.  My argument before buying was that if they were not originals I was not interested.  Supplier lied and when I got the injectors they were fake.  I try to contact him but he disappeared.  Does Paypal has any insurance ? Should I escalate the problem to PayPal since seller does not answer?

I would open an ebay dispute first if its within 30 days BUT when you do so click on 'more' and scroll down to make sure you state items were not as described (and not buyer remorse) so that the seller has to provide a return label.

If its after 30 days then open a paypal dispute for item received but not as described via clicking on the transaction and using the report option bottom of that details page.

If you have the 'return shipping' option in your country then activate it in case you need to claim to return the item if paypal requests you to do so.
