Sending money abroad to Mexico

Has anyone has been asked to have the recipient register with Intermex? My transfer has not been complete because of this NEW requirement. I’ve never had this issue before.

Sounds like a SCAM, no funds in your balance means you have not been paid and if they are asking you to pay a 'courier' then again SCAM.

i have the same problem. Have asked to xoom whether this is normal procedure but they do not answer...

It just happened to me.  Did they receive the money you send?  Did they had to register with Intermex?  I don't know what to do, if cancel it or just wait.

We sent the required information and the transfer was processed the next day. I talked with xoom before to verify, they said it is normal procedure.
