Transaction not in my account summary

Hi There,

Yesterday I had a $400 amount come out of my bank account stating it was a paypal payment. However when i look at my paypal summary it is not there. I am not sure what i can no next

Your bank debit card might have been compromised somehow. Contact your card issuer to report the transaction as unauthorized who will then contact PayPal and a chargeback on the merchant’s PayPal account will be opened. I say bank debit card because for a transaction to not show up on your PayPal account, then someone must’ve used PayPal guest checkout and you can only use cards with guest checkout. If it is not on your credit card then it must be a bank debit card for the transaction to appear in your bank account. The transaction was made at a merchant who uses PayPal to process payments.

@sharpiemarker I contacted the bank who are going to block it from being processed which is good so it will reverse the missing $400 from my bank account. My only question now is, because there was not actually $400 in my bank account when the transaction was made it has now given me a negative paypal balance. When the bank cancels the transaction will this still leave me with a negative paypal balance. Also I have changed my paypal password this morning is there anything else i need to do to prevent it happening again
