So my twitch account got hacked by some dude in Russia judging by the login emails I got from twitch. They hada my account for a short period of time as I was online at the time, so I managed to reset my pw and set up multi factor authentication.
But in that time they spent £300 on gifted subs.
Here's some irony for later - Paypal sent me a text message saying there was unusual activity and asked me to respond with a 1 or 2 if they were authorised by me or not, and I obviously said no they weren't.
Fast forward 24 hours. I had raised disputed claims against all the bogus transactions. Paypal did not contact me at any time whatsoever. I had to go hunting to find out what was happening with my ticket, and when I eventually located it, the disputes had all been closed stating the transactions did not appear to be unauthorised.
So my case is closed, noone at paypal has at any point bothered to speak to me, and I don't seem to have any way to escalate this matter or get any sort of help from anyone.
anyone else been in this situation and if so, did they managed to get anything done about it?
