Does anyone know why I would be charged 1st $1.00 in April by Wall Street Journal /Barron's and then in June charged $19.49 by Wall Street Journal /Barron's and again in July $19.49.

I have no interest or need for financial news. I thought maybe I stumbled into newspaper free subscription while looking into Ancestry.com info but that was newspapers .com obits and paid with credit card.

This is a mystery to me and I did not see or use any services. I almost never use PayPal for buying online except one time for a small ebay retail operator that has no other way of receiving money. My PayPal dispute requests are denied as not and unauthorized charge.

Check if you had a subscription set up...
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments''.

Ok I went to Manage Automatic Payments ( I do not see Manage Pre-Approved payments) I see a WSJ / Barron's under inactive. It shows 3 charges to my PayPal account.

Is there some significance to this result? I would have never setup an automatic payment to anyone. The one reoccurring payment I make each month I manage it manually every month.

Is it possible someone had my username and password and signed up for Wall Street Journal News?

I am very disappointed that Paypal supports the practice of subscriptions automatically following an unsolicited email: “Try The Wall Street Journal!” When I discovered the 2 Paypal charges for $38.99, and WSJ BARRONS refused to refund the one just posted - or cancel - I went to Paypal. Paypal backed up this shady trickery and acceded only to cancelling future payments. WSJ made it very hard to reach anyone. Shame on Paypal. Shame on WSJ BARRONS. It is phishing!
