World Health Organization COVID Fund Invoice Scam

Hey world. Not sure if I'm the only one receiving this invoice but just got an invoice for $20.00 from something called the Respond Fund for World Solidarity from the World Health Organization.  Paypal won't let me dispute this invoice nor would I presume the WHO would send dubious invoices for donations through Paypal so I'm assuming it's a scam. Just curious if this is being sent out to others. Thanks!

i just received an invoice through paypal for $35 for the WHO Health organization.

Help Families Around The World-COVID-19 Relief Fund sent you an invoice for $35.00 USD.

I did not approve this and do not want to pay it. How did they get access to my Paypal account. I do not understand how PayPal can send me an invoice for the WHO when i did not initiate it. I always use Paypal because i like the security of it and then i get this.

Can i delete the email and not get charged????

Were you able to resolve this issue?  I am experiencing the same thing with an invoice from the WHO COVID-19.

I too am looking for a resolution, information and a way to delete this invoice.  Any hints out there?  Any word from Paypal?

Thanks,

To cancel the invoice, go to Activity, and it should show as Pending at the top of the list, and you can Cancel from there.

I received a 50$ invoice from this organization. When I try to reject it, I get the payment page instead. I'm worried whether PayPal automatically will make this payment without my accept? That would be robbery! PayPal solution center will not create a case for this invoice. Where is PayPal when we need help and information?

PayPal told me that they would NOT pay it. They advised that it was a request for funds, not a transaction, so it would only be paid off I actually paid the invoice. I couldn't cancel the transaction either and the representative at PayPal couldn't assist with it either.

This message is listed as being from a DEVANTE EDMOND, not the WHO, if you look in your activity. I HOPE its not the same Devante Edmond who ran over a baby and kept going back in April in California. That poor child was critically injured and he fled the scene. If its the same guy, who is 23, his twitter is <removed>.  It best not be him trying to scam people money for his defense or drug fund. Anyway, I reported his **bleep**. I dont have twitter, so, someone go look at it. Like I said, IDK if its the same guy, but.....

I just had this show up in my "paypal inbox"..  At first I figured "well, maybe I entered my email on some "would like to donate" webpage."  Then I saw the sender name (in all caps no less - tip off there) and decided "no..  this is definitely NOT legit."  I bet that's what whoever "Devante Edmond" is wants people to think.

Just received one for $50 from a RONEE DIZEN in all caps. Sent a message to PayPal and she told me I could delete payment. I already tried everything and there is no way to delete payment. I do not support the WHO and their scams in any way, shape or form. I also tried deleting all my payment methods off and it won’t allow me to.

I received an invoice for $50 this morning for WHO and it indicates it was from Devante Edward as well. PayPal couldn't help and I couldn't cancel the transaction. I WILL NOT be paying for this invoice. I also sent a scan alert to the WHO organization.
