why does PayPal want me to upload a credit card statement? the following is the message that I get in the message centre on the PayPal login:

Your account access is temporarily limited

We noticed some unusual activity with the card linked to your PayPal account. To help keep you and the PayPal community secure, we need to better understand this activity.

In an effort to keep your account secure, we've also limited certain features in your account. You'll be able to regain access to these features once you provide the information we've requested.

Provide credit card statement

I think they clearly state why in that message, so I suggest you do so to remove the limitation.

thank you for the answer. Sending a credit card statement just does not make sense, as such a document can easily be forged. It also contains sensitive private information which does not make sense to have to send to an Internet company. I've tried to follow the links where one can send an email To PayPal, but it comes back with an error message, not giving the email address. I also tried to phone, but they Try to put you through to another department, and then you are on hold for ever

How can I get hold of PayPal directly?

Click help / contact bottom of every paypal page for options available in your country.

Or click on the bell icon after logging in to your paypal account and send a message via the message centre.

I'm in the same situation and I agree with you.  I am NOT giving PayPal a copy of my credit card statement.  What did you end up doing?  I tried even to close my account, but the link to do that wouldn't work!

I don't understand why they are need to credit card statement again? You know why i said that, because they was suck charge already Ringgit Malaysia 10. Why they want suck money again?

Same issue. There is no way I am going to upload my credit card statement. Having had credit cards for 20+ years - this is the first time someone has asked for this. You want an address check - i will happily give you other documents, such as a utility bill.
