depop refund

Hi, I've made a trial purchase on Depop. the seller and I agreed that she will refund me less the purchase fee. Paypal notified me that I received a refund but after months of waiting, no money was actually transferred to my bank balance. I went to the bank to get it checked and they confirmed that no refund was sent to my account. I tried to report my case to Depop but their rules state that payments made via PayPal should be filed to PayPal but when I tried, the system says that I cant file a dispute to that certain transaction because I already received the payment hence the notification I received. I checked my last conversation with the seller and the last thing she said is that she refunded my money but still needs to ask for a Depop refund before she can send it and that was 10 weeks ago. I don't know what to do next. Anyone?

Do you think the refund went to your paypal balance for some reason ie was declined by the bank and bounced back?

If so then.....

Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the refund should have gone in??

The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will sometimes take from those funds rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.

To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transaction and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie refund rather than your normal funding source.
