fraudulent charges from chickfila one account

On may 3, I received an email from PayPal notifying me of a purchase from the Chick-fil-a app for $75 dollars.  The money was taken out of my PayPal balance.  I have not used that app for a purchase since November of 2019.  This transaction was pending for over a week, therefore I could not dispute it.  Due to corona, I cannot talk to an actual person at PayPal.  The only communication is through the terrible chat service.  But through this, although still pending, they opened a dispute for me.  I also called CFA and had them investigate too.  Chickfila and PayPal have deemed this purchase as legit!!! I cannot get any help from either company.  This happen to anyone else?? Ive never had an issue with PP over a dispute, but now Im out $75.

No. No resolution. PayPal said it wasn't their issue. Although Chick-fil-A told me, the gift card bought on my PayPal from my login was used 4 Times in the state of Florida last week... and i live in Georgia... Chick-fil-A also told me it was not their issue. So I'm just out i guess. 😞 good luck!

This just happened to me! Same exact amount. Getting a total run around from my bank, PayPal, and Chick-fil-a. They are each telling me to call the other. Sadly, I contacted all three the same day the charge came through and they still have been of no help.

I was finally able to get the money back through PayPal after numerous calls and emails to them. Don’t give up. That’s what they want you to do!

Thank you for letting me know! What makes me so upset with PayPal is that I contacted them immediately when I received the initial email that the $75 was put on the Chick-fil-A app and said it was fraudulent. The funds weren't accessed via the app for 10 more days so if they had just refunded the money to me, it would have solved everything. I am going to keep trying. Totally unacceptable and there are way too many competitors now like Zelle and Venmo to go through all of this. I am glad they did the right thing for you and hope I'll receive the same treatment!

I was finally able to talk to someone from CFA and a few days later received an email saying that they agreed with me....that it was a fraudulent charge and to share this with PayPal. Now, I have tried to contact PAyPal but have been unable to relay this info to them. Online, there is no way to send them that email from CFA.

I just discovered today that this happened to me 5 days ago with a $50 charge at CFA in Atlanta, GA.and I live in KY ! I opened a dispute with PayPal who told me it was an authorized purchase and my dispute was closed. I don’t see a way to phone PP and I have no idea how to reach CFA.
Im retired on a very fixed income and $50 is a lot of money. I’m not sure who else to call !

I am so sorry to hear that you have also been a victim of this. I have not had any luck so far with PayPal but I am not giving up. The customer service number i[Removed. Phone #s not permitted] but they seem to be closed due to Covid-19. If I am able to get any resolution, I will message you back here.

It just happened to me twice in the same day for $90 and $50. I removed my banking info from PayPal and will no longer be using or supporting PayPal or anything having to do with them.
