paid twice for one item from my hermes, cant get money back

hello

i tried to buy delivery service from myhermes which i always use and i had a problem paying. i clicked for the transaction to go through and it crashed. i thought that the transaction did not go through so i tried again. the second time it went through. however it seems to have charged me twice for one item and it turned out that i did pay twice. i wanted a refund and asked myhermes, they have been awkward in handling the situation and now claim that they had not recieved either of the two payements. they redirected me to paypal claiming it was a paypal issue. i have tried to get help through paypal with no luck. i thought this might come under duplicate payement or billing issue. how can i get this sortd please. i did do an unauthorised billing that came back in favour of myhermes who claim i have not paid them? i then did a dispute about how much which came back against me.

trying to get a problem sorted through hermes and paypal is a nightmare. any help or advice would be great

Me too.

Didn't realise autopay was still on. Paid once. Autopay paid again next day. The seller refuses to give any refund. My account with them is now cancelled so now twice out of pocket. Wish I had done my research. Seller is a known money scammer on forums. Paypal sided with the scammer. I will no longer be using paypal for any subscriptions and will only subscribe to reputable companies. Hope you have better luck.
