I just received a mail from this address prompting me to change my Password. Instructions followed, I entered my PayPal page, until something that they were suggesting couldn't be found here (click the "problems with connecting"  tab is my best memory). I logged out and took the message to the spam and block category bin. However, I would like to know if something more should be done, in order to prevent similar phishing attempts.

You should also change your password. It is hard to stop phishing emails. It is just scammer coming with up emails to send out. PayPal have no control over it. Sometimes they are clever enough to alias the real email address of PayPal. As long as you know when you are expecting PayPal Activity and to expect the official PayPal emails to mirror your PayPal activity and always directly log on through the website to check for account issues and payments and do not click any links in emails. You do fine to protect your account. Also check the email headers to see where the email really originate from to determine if email is fake or not.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I clicked into it the other day and thankfully my laptop recognised it was a threat. I am after placing an order there and I got an email from 'paypal' telling me to confirm order. I thought it was strange as I never had to do it before but it did look geniune. So BEWARE!
