Last month I had a buyer dispute a $4,000 charge becasue they did not recognize PAYPAL on their AmEx bill, within half an hour they figured out what it was and cancelled the dispute. The money was never credited back to their account. Paypal notified me of the dispute, which I responded to and paypal investigated the dispute, including requesting a signed affadavid from my customer that the charge had been disputed in error. Still two weeks later, the 4 grand was deducted from my Paypal account. Pay pal says the money was deducted by Amercian Express and they have up to 75 days to decide whether to return the money or not. Amercain Express say they haven't deducted anything. So paypal says Amex has the money, Amex says paypal has the money... No one from either company can tell me anything because they both say it's in the other company's hands. I just know I don't have the money and my customer doesn't have the money
