Hey there, I got this question on Lets Talk a while ago and as its something that comes up a bit I said I'd answer it here as well.
"As I am relatively new to eBay. I don’t know how the system works so pls advise me. I paid for 2 items on the 1st and 2nd August 2009. Both were different sellers. have not received my items and I am very annoyed. I have contacted both sellers and they have totally disregarded my emails. I reported them to pay pal and then escalated 2 claims. Both sellers have to response before the 22/08/09. According to my PayPal updates the sellers have not responded and I don’t think they will as they have not tried to get in touch with me or explain themselves. What happens after the 22/08/09 and how do I get a refund as I have obviously paid for 2 items which I have not received. "

Hey, as you have escalated your disputes to PayPal claims your sellers have been given 10 days to respond directly to PayPal through the Resolutions centre. If they don’t respond with a valid tracking number showing delivery to the address provided though the transaction details the claim will be closed in your favour on day 11. The buyer protection will then be implemented and a full refund will be credited to your PayPal balance or card, depending on your funding source.
I hope this helps.

Hi, I sold a mobile phone on Ebay to a person who lives in America and they wanted the mobile sending to Pakistan. I said that would be fine. I then end up gettin a dispute filed against me saying the Buyer had their bank details used by someone else and dint authorise this transaction!! Ive got all the emails from the buyer which proves they have scammed me and are lying!! Ive sent paypal all the proof they asked for i.e. emails, receipt of postage. Ive since been ordered to pay the money back to them!!!! Ive now been in touch with another seller on ebay who has had a run in with the same person and they WON their case and got to keep the money??? If it was for £5 i would leave it but its for £63.99!!!
Can anyone PLEASE HELP xx

Hi Kenyoninho,
The first thing you need to do is check to see if the address you posted the item to was provided by your buyer on the transaction details page. This can be done by clicking the 'Details' option beside the payment. If it was the address that you posted the item to, you would be covered under our Seller Protection Policy. If it is not the address in Pakistan that you have posted the item to, you would not be covered under our Seller Protection Policy.
If the case is still open through your PayPal account, you should try giving us a quick call by clicking the 'Contact Us' link on the bottom of every PayPal webpage. We try and cover sellers in every instance of a payment being refunded back to a buyer due to the funds being sent using unauthorised means but as you may or may not be aware, the criteria of our Seller Protection Policy needs to be followed for every payment received.
For more information on this, please click on the link and then go to section 11. Seller Protection.
I hope this helps,
David.

There is no protection, paypal took one look at my claim and closed it, well i have the last laugh, I have sent them at least six emails today explaining my situation, I get the same authomated email back signed by someone different each time. When I disputed a transaction last night their customer services team told me to cancel my direct debit, and thats exactly what ive done, Paypal won't be paid from my bank account, but when they realise this I'm sure they will pull there finger, they are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
