I sold a pair of Bred Yeezys in March for $650 and the buyer decides 3 months later to claim that they are fake. Paypal decides I owe him money and he sends me back the pair of shoes used and didn't send back the original sneaker box. He just threw them in a box and shipped it back to me. I thought the buyer has to send them back in the same condition that I sent it to him and he didn't return the box which is really important for sneaker collectors.
I have the receipt for the sneakers from Yeezy Supply which is owned by Kanye West himself and that still wasn't good enough. I provided pictures of the inside tag and a link to show what real and fake tags look like.
I included so much information and I still lost. I have lost faith in using paypal. I cannot afford to get scammed again and I will never use paypal again. I will find another payment processor and not use ebay any more either as too many buyers are committing fraud against legitimate sellers.
I want to know what information the buyer had. I can't imagine that he had any proof at all other than his word saying that they were fakes. So he gets to wear a $650 pair of sneakers for free for 3 months and I can't sell them in this condition. I had so much proof and I still lost. I just can't believe it and cannot trust paypal any more. I am a disabled veteran and my wife buys them for me with her credit card and when I sell them I get to keep the profit. I cannot work due to losing my legs in Afghanistan.
Although I can no longer wear sneakers, I still love them as I view them as art and still collect them because one day my son will be able to wear all of the sneakers I have collected over the years.
I'm sorry for going on and on. I just cannot believe that I lost my appeal. I called several times and every person I talked to said I should win because he didn't return them in the same condition. I know that he has no proof that they are fake because I have the receipt and I am and expert at spotting fakes. I am an honest person and cannot believe that I got cheated. I have a perfect record on ebay, stockx, and goat sites/apps. I am also upset that whoever handled the case couldn't call me and discuss it and if he/she wanted more information, I would have provided it. Now I'm stuck with used sneakers that is probably worth less than a pair of fakes on ebay. Who is going to buy used sneakers and without the original box? I am so upset right now. I do not have the money to pay the cheating buyer the money he won either. The process failed me. I will call paypal as soon as the CS office opens, but I doubt that I will get an answer that will satisfy me. I just want to know how did I lose a case where I had the receipt of the shoes, showed pictures of my shoes and linked a site that showed the difference between real and fake sneakers and mine matches the real shoes of course. I am depressed right now and the wait for the paypal offices to complain about my case seems like forever. I just needed to rant because the process failed me and I will just sell through consignment stores and not through any sites that use paypal. Paypal, I know that you are rich, but you have lost one customer for life.

In the event of an item received but not as described dispute paypal do tend to find in favour of the buyer as paypal can never view the actual item.
The buyer could be fibbing saying the items were fake and you could be fibbing saying she sent them back not as sent........how does paypal know?
However the buyer has to send the item back to you at their own expense before you have to refund.
To be honest whether you use paypal again is entirely your choice but if you are going to sell online you will always get the odd transaction go wrong, seller or buyer protection is never going to be a 100% coverall.

There's other ways of sending another person money. And I do not have to sell online. I can sell through consignment stores. If I continue to sell online using paypal, I can be scammed again and again because paypal does not protect sellers. I cannot afford to pay back the buyer. I am on a fixed income from the government and receive payments for disability, but it is not enough to survive.
If the buyer claimed that it was fake and sent it back in unused condition in the original box I wouldn't care. I could just sell it. But my sneakers were worn for 3 months and the original shoebox was not returned as well. I thought sellers had protection that it had to be returned in the same condition as it was sold? I supplied lots of proof in the email. I included a link to a webpage on how to spot fakes and included pictures of my sneakers to prove that it was real. I included the receipt of my purchase as well. What more could I have sent? I am positive that the buyer had NO PROOF other than his word that they were fake. I have pictures of the sneakers that I used in my ebay listing showing that they were new and pictures of the returned sneakers that are used and no original box. I would have no problem if it was new and in the original box. In fact, I would be able to sell it for more money if the buyer sent it back to me as I sent it back to him. The process failed me and paypal just encourages these scammers to keep ripping off sellers. Lots of people on niketalk have left ebay because of this. I wish I knew of goat and stockx before I sold this pair of sneakers. I am new to goat and stockx, but they verify the sneakers then ship them to the buyer and the buyer cannot do anything because it's verified. Paypal **bleep** me and my bank account doesn't have enough to pay the buyer. I will just close that bank account. I don't need paypal any more. Whoever examines the claims is lazy. All they had to do is look at the website I provided to show what is real and what is fake and look at my pictures to see that they are real. But they were also used too so why should the buyer have won? He wore $650 sneakers for free for 3 months. How is this fair? Paypal **bleep** me plain and simple.

Sorry but I cannot lose $650 dollars now or in the future by using paypal. If you think buying expensive sneakers from someone and then wearing them for three months and then having buyers remorse and then wanting and getting your money back by claiming that they are fake is ok then I can't win with you. I provided more than enough proof. I highly doubt the buyer had any proof at all other than his word saying that they were fake. And where's my original box? Shouldn't the buyer have to send that back too? I wish that I had enough money to just shrug this one off, but I can't.
What's more upsetting than losing $650 is that I provided lots of proof and why couldn't someone call me before making a final decision? If there was anything else that someone in the claims department needed to decide on my case, I would have provided it. I also thought that seller protection rules state that I need my items returned to me in the same condition and it was not. I should have won this case easily imho. I had the receipt, pictures of the sneakers when they were new and also showed the same ID sticker inside the tongue that matches the sneaker sent back, no original box, and the buyer wore them for 3 months. In what world is that fair? I proved without a shadow of a doubt that they are real. I feel bad for the next seller on ebay that sells this typical nyc sneakerhead thug another expensive pair of sneakers and scamming them like how he scammed me. If he sent me back the sneakers in the original box, unworn I would have been thrilled as they have gone up in price significantly. I have no incentive to claim that he wore them and to dirty them up to win this case. I would have gladly have figured out a way to pay him back so that I could sell them again for a much higher price. Paypal took the buyers word and they didn't take my evidence in consideration at all. If they did I would have won this case easily.

Wondering what yu mena by paypal can't review the item, surley the seller has sent pictures for paypal to review. Plus if yu had them selling on ebay or facebook pages and provided pictures on posts of ht eitem, paypal can log into those sites and review so it's fair?
