I have a personla paypal account. I am also the treasurer for a small non-profit community group.
I would like to set up an an account in the name of the community group that is not connected to my personal finaicials in any way, so that when elections to the group occur the account can move with the next treasurer if that happens.
Can a seperate account be set up, perhaps a business account?
We receive funds two ways- 1) through annual dues (set amount) and 2) the occasional donation (varied amounts). Can we do buttons for both types of donation? They would go to the same general account, but would help with bookkeeping on my end.

Hi Wimmdogs, and welcome to the forums!
You can and should set up a business account for this, and it will be in the name of the registered group. There will have to be a business contact associated. If you are the treasurer, then you would be an appropriate choice for that. When the next treasurer is elected, you would request a business contact name change, and the ownership would transfer once we've completed our verification.
If your group is registered as a non-profit, you may be eligible for reduced fees. Take a look at the following links for further information:
I hope this helps!
