I too got the exact same message today , August 14 at 11.22am. I assume it is a phishing attempt. The spelling in the message was better than usual !

This is my first ever post - I didn't like the thought of you not getting a reply.

Hello (my name inserted here, correct and with proper spelling,)

system. We recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account.

We requested information from you for the following reason:

This is a second reminder to (login in to PayPal) as soon as possible. Once you log
in, you will be provided with steps to restore your account access.

Be sure to log in securely by using the following link:
(link contains my email address which has code embedded in it that when I log in steals my password.)

(Here it has a link that says "Click on here to login" and restore your account access.)

Once you log in, you will be provided with steps to restore your

hope this is helpful to others.

Hint: if you've already added PayPal to your list of contacts, letters like this will automatically go to your junk email box, because they don't originate from PayPal, never open them, it's like the kiss of death on your identity.

Yup, that's a scam.

NEVER sign in to your Paypal account from an email link.

And, to make your Paypal account bullet-proof, visit the security center in your Paypal account and buy one of their security keys for $5.  It puts a separate, randomly-generated numerical password on your account that changes every 30 seconds and cannot be hijacked, even if the scammer has your password.
