I got scammed for a skin on CS GO, can PayPal help?

I traded my knife, worth £350, to a guy who i thought was very legit, is there any way with enough evidence that i could get paypal to force him to give me the money he owes me. I have his paypal, his steam account and records of the messages we sent back and forth confirming that he would send me the money. Once I traded him the knife he stopped responding to my messages.

I assume the payment was sent as friends and family.

I'm sorry to hear that you never received payment from someone who promised to send money. If there was no payment involved, PayPal cannot take action. It's important never to ship an item to a buyer until payment is received and the instructions say that it is okay to ship, so PayPal can provide Seller Protection.
