Adaptive Payments

Hi,

I 've looked at several of the questions and answers for the payment process for adaptive payments.

Can some one advise the following for refunds?

Each Receiver Pays the Fee which is great.

if I have a buyer and he/she purchases from 3 vendors a total of 4 people- admin and 3 vendors receive the payment after fees.

What happens if the buyer sends the good back to one seller does the owner - admin of the site have to refund any fees as i guess the vendor does?

Also on the check out page do all 4 receipents appear on the page for payment or just the 3 vendors?

Many thanks

Hi Silverline,

Welcome to the community.

When an adaptive payment is refunded, if the item is sent back to one or all vendors, they all have to issue separate refunds. Only the affected parties need to issue the refund on their adaptive payment. The fees for transactions should be refunded automatically. If they are not, if you contact customer services, they should be able to refund them.

If a buyer is making an adaptive payment, they would only see one recipient for receiving the payment.

I hope this answers your questions. If there is anything else we can help to clarify, please let us know.

Jessica.

Many thanks for the reply.

I do have an additional question.

Is it possible to have the seller/s as the primary receiver/s? and the marketplace as the secondary receiver?

Hi Silverline,

Thanks for getting back in contact regarding this.

This would all depend on how the adaptive payment was set up by the admin person.
If you were the admin setting up the adaptive payments, you would receive the payment and then the adaptive payments would be sent to the other recipients.
We are unable to see your account, or discuss it on the community so if you would like some additional assistance, I would advise contacting our Product Site Support team on 0800 358 7911.
If there is anything else that we can help with, please let us know.
Thanks,
Jessica.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I did call them and they could not answer the question so hence me coming onto the community.

I do have a business account with paypal.

So could the marketplace owner be the secondary reciever and the sellers be the primary receivers?

Thanks

Hi Silverline,

Yes, that would be possible, but the admin for the adaptive payments should be the first recipient. In theory, we would advise that the marketplace owner would be the primary receiver so that the marketplace owner would have all the admin rights.

If you would like to be the secondary receiver and you are the marketplace owner, the seller who receives the first payment, would need to create the adaptive payment profile.

Hope this information helps.

Thanks,

Jessica.
