A payment may be unclaimed if it was sent to an email address or phone number that isn't confirmed on any PayPal account.
Here’s how to cancel an unclaimed payment:
1. Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
2. Locate the payment in your 'Activity' and click Cancel.
Remember that you can only cancel unclaimed payments. If your payment is complete, you’ll need to contact the recipient of the payment and request a refund.
Note:
• You can only cancel an unclaimed payment that has a ‘Cancel’ link
• Unclaimed payments will automatically be cancelled if the recipient does not accept them within 30 days of the payment date
• If you used a card to make your payment, it may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your statement
