Direct Debit to my Paypal from someone else's bank account

Hello all

I would like to set up a direct debit from someone else's bank account to my PayPal account. The purpose here is to have a Direct Debit appearing in my friend's bank account, not just sending me the money. Is that possible? What info does a bank need to send money to a PayPal account?

Any bank account linked to your paypal account has to be in the same name as the owner of that paypal account.

Thank you very much, I thought so. I suppose he needs to set up a PayPal account, connect his bank account to PayPal and set up a Direct Debit via his bank. It is a long time and I can't remember how it is done, can someone help?

You are correct, he can open a paypal account > add his own bank account > confirm it with the code sent to that bank statement > then complete the direct debit mandate info.
