EU Transfer Limit

I discovered that a total of more than £2500 in transfers in a calendar year triggers a EU regulation that freezes my PayPal account until I submit answers to a questionaire online.  The questionaire is simple & the account was reactivated almost immediately.  My question concerns whether I can continue to make additional transfers above this EU level now.  I have a situation where all my retirement income is going into USA bank but I have residency status in the UK with no other means of moving funds except a daily £300 limit at a ATM.  International bank transfers are expensive.  PayPal appears to be the best method if I am permitted to go above this ceiling of £2500.  Any information would be welcome.

The EU Limit applies to all accounts created within the EU on PayPal and is an accumulation of all payments sent, received and withdrawn on the account. It is a Regulatory requirement PayPal must follow and is only applied to your account once. When the account has been fully verified, you will no longer have a limit on your account. Thanks for the rapid response.  As stated originally, my PayPal account was locked & I did have to submit an online form verifying my address, credit card, etc.  Nobody requested passport or photo ID, or proof of residence in this case.  My account was unlocked so am I to assume from what you are replying that I may now continue to receive funds above the EU flagged limit?  I am strictly an individual with no business ties at all.  The last thing I want to do is fall afoul of a law or regulation in this case.
