Hi

I had a resolution  with ebay to sort out over buyer return.  I have received an email from ebay saying that they found in buyers favour but (in circumstances) ebay will pay.

I went into my papal account and theres nothing showing , BUT i went through some  some details, It looks as if the money is being taken out of the account and theier is no money in the account at present.  Theres a request to pay. Theres been no email.

Phoning is difficult and there doesnt seem to be a chat service .

How do deafened people sonrt this out.

A BBC programme flagged up that an elderly gentleman found himself in similar situation with ebay/paypal and ended up paying 1000s

I will contact BBC as they need more cases like his . But how do i get this sorted now. Disabled people must be dealt with by law Im sure

I hunted for ebay chat.  There was a photo of a lady which usually means CHAT. I clicked there was nothing

When working for a Disability charity the 2012 Equality act came in. It is against British law to discrimininate there needs to be equal service. ie  chat open as long as telephone service in equal measure

Ive almost reached the end.  Ebay did believe my side of the story but i lost my item  to someone who 'got me' 18m ago.  And lost my faith in ebay.

Thanks

It looks like I will need to close up soon .  None of these are equal to live discussion when serious personal account issues need to be resolved in a hurry. Twitter is something I dont have. Im not disscussing personal finamce on Facebook. Hubby was  FCA CEO  and wouldnt allow it. Message Centre isnt personal enough.

My MP is deaf and likes to hear stories of where equality isnt working so I'll drop him a line or do a one to one. I can ask him about the status of returns too under UK law with international companies.

The only other option is to use the Hands Free phone which everyone in the vicinity can here. This can be useful . A notetaker can record the answers. Or maybe Ive reached the text phone stage which can also be useful for the same reason.

Sending a PERSONAL message via Facebook is no different than messaging customer services and is personal and secure...up to you if you don't want to use it.

My 'hubby' does not tell me what i can and can't do.

You have more options to contact paypal than a lot of other companies so good luck with your MP, but it sounds as though you don't understand how paypal works so best you don't use it.
