Hi there I'm new to paypal. Issues with halifax visa electron card account

Hi there I'm new to paypal. I've added my halifax visa electron card with PayPal  a few days ago

and it was accepted. Now I'm trying to withdraw some money from my paypal account and put it in my halifax visa electron card account, but it won't let me do this why?

Any can you use your  visa electron card account to make paypal withdrawals?

You can't withdraw funds from your paypal balance to a card in the UK.

You can only withdraw to a linked bank account.

What do you mean when you say linked bank account?

Is that for example  a  current account?

Being curious why can't you withdraw  from a card account?

Yes you have to link your actual current account and it will show in your online list of direct debits on your bank statement.

BUT that will only show amounts if you use your bank account to pay sellers, however once you have added a bank account it becomes your default funding source for paying sellers BUT you can click on ''change'' during the payment process each time and select your card to fund a payment instead.

HOWEVER you can only withdraw to that bank account and not a card. As to why its because paypal have not allowed that option for withdrawing funds in the UK.

Click on the link below and select the country you want from the drop down list for options available in that country.
