I used a debit card today in a small independent shop using their PayPal card Machine. When presented with options for where the receipt should be sent to it came up with my phone number but a mate's e-mail address from my address book. There is no way there is any connection between him and my PayPal account and only my email address is registered to my account. There is also no way he has ever been in that shop before. I am extremely confused and concerned about how Paypal got that e-mail address and how it was linked to my account. Has anyone got any suggestions of how there can be read through from my personal address book to a paypal transaction in a small independent shop.
