Credit Card Number change

I have a new credit card number and need to know how to change it.  When I edit the credit card information, there is nowhere that I can click on to change that credit card Number.  Help!

Hi klq,

To change your card, you must add your new one and remove the old one.

To add a new credit card or debit card:

1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
2. Click "Profile" at the top of the page.
3. Click "Credit/Debit Cards" in the Financial Information column.
4. Click "Add A Card."
5. Enter the required card information.
6. Click "Add Card."

If the card you are removing is "Primary," you must designate the new card as the primary card.

It sound so simple, however, when I attempt to do exactly as you say, and delete the old credit card and number, here is the message I receive as copied from site:

You may not remove your funding source while an authorization is still pending.

I have received this msg. each time I have tried and there is no authorization currently pending so I am confused as to why I cannot remove an old credit card.

Can you further assist me.
