Im looking to get my total shipping fees paid for the year report. It can be By month or just year total costs. I can't seem to find any way to get this after searching paypal. Does anyone know if they have this feature?
I just bottom line what to get my shipping fee totals for the year for my taxes. I looked through the reports options, but I don't seem to find one that shows the cost of all my shipping fees.. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks 🙂

I am looking for the same. Their reports have dwindled to the absurd frankly. We used to be able to get full transaction reports for our customers yet now they are hiding that from us to protect ebay.
If you subscribed to selling manager pro you can get the ebay transactions that way from detailed selling manager pro reports but you have to log in every 90 days or you can't get them. Makes no sense.
If anyone knows how we can get our shipping payments...since usually they take with the Paypal balance so we can't just look at our credit card statements. Paypal does not provide statements like this for the year. If you find anything out let me know. expertbenefits@gmail.com I really need this data also. The reporting is not robust at all and I can't even believe it so that is why I signed up for kyozou for inventory management and shipping. Light years ahead of this and I am really disappointed. I have copies of all the sales tax I collected yet they tell me they don't keep tracking of it in any reports either. Now if the gov't comes in, I am sure they will provide this. i have hard copies but it would be nice to have it all in the cloud since I am using outright.com and shoeboxed.com and send all my receipts to them for 2010 and outright is free.
Thanks for listening and would appreciate any feedback on the subject by email too. Lydia

Try the Business Report Portal, it's just another way to access your Account Transaction History.

In most instances that I know of, Paypal does not specifically track what you charge your buyers in shipping. As far as they are concerned, this is just income, because they have no way to verify that the funds are actually used to cover shipping costs.
If you purchase all of your shipping labels online, the best way to track it is to get a total of all purchases made to USPS.com or whatever shipping company you use.
If you do not purchase shipping online, you would need to keep and catalogue all of your receipts from the shipping companies. These are what you would need to deduct shipping costs - not what a customer pays towards shipping. In many instances, customers pay less than shipping actually is, leaving the seller to cover the difference. Yet there are also cases where someone is ecpected to pay 15 dollars to ship a 7 oz cd. Both of these are examples of shipping cost inaccuracies that can cost the taxpayer in the long run, if we were to solely rely on the shipping fees paid through paypal.

Thanks for your fast answers....
Since we charge 0 for standard Priority Mail shipping we need to know the actual cost of shipping when we print labels with Paypal. What the forum member skier stated was great because if I go into reports and then on the right had side there is a search box search transactions and I just clicked on that and there is a shipping category that you can get 2009 total shipping paid in 90 day increments what we actually paid for the shipping. In the case of express mail or fedex we charge actual cost for expedited shipping since it requires super rush on our end.
As to getting reports from USPS on an annual basis you are pretty much sunk because they only go back 6months but if you use a credit card you can get that easily. The problem I have with Paypal is that they take money from funds in the account for shipping without a choice so instead of having all the records in my AMEX credit card if I have funds in my Paypal account that i need to use to pay someone so I dn't have to send an echeck over my spending limit, they take a few bucks for shipping out so I have no choice but to use multiple reporting.
. Paypal also told me I could get total taxes paid in a response to my query on total sales taxes so i can check against the hard copies to make sure this is accurate. I have not checked this to see if it works.
From Paypal Business Services
There is a report that will show any taxes that you collected though. If
you click on "History" and then "Download History," off to the right you
will see a link that states "Customize Download Fields." One of the
fields that can be chosen there is taxes.
