So this is the thrid time today that I've clicked "print shipping label" and found that PayPal frieght is considerably higher than the calculated freight using the Ebay calculator. Shipping via Parcel Post tghe Ebay calc posted a fee of $4.90, so that is what the buyer paid. When directed to PayPal to print the shippping label the freight is $16.94. When I spoke to Ebay and PayPal...twice, they said "we have no idea why it does that, sorry, call the buyer and have them pay the additional cost to ship it." WOW...so now what? rather than overcharge the buyer (which bugs me to death) I either get whacked or have to take the package 5 miles to a Post Office to have them properly ship. So what's the point of having the calculator if it does not work?
