Funding Options: Can't Use Credit Card, Only Echeck

PayPal is not giving me the option to use my credit card to pay for ebay items.  It is only allowing the echeck option.  I don't want to pay via echeck.  I've had a PayPal account for about five days now, and I have two credit cards linked to it. 

This has already caused me to lose one ebay item due to not paying on time.  Tomorrow I will lose another. 

Please help.

Have you been asked to "link and confirm" your credit card? Are you seeing some type of error message or is the option to select your credit card greyed out?

I have the same problem!!! I have been asked to link and confirm, and my status on "My Account" is VERIFIED.  But when choosing funding option, I see the credit card option GRAYED OUT.  What does this mean?  What does it take to use my credit card!!!!  Which is why I signed up for paypal in the first place, "to pay with your credit card without revealing your financial info etc."  Some merchants do not accept checks!  Besides, can I just handle my own cashflow, I want to pay my credit card in FULL upon due date, and want to charge all my expenses to it in the meantime, NOT keep on withdrawing from my bank account for each transaction!

I have the same problem with some items, I think when these are more of 400$, or I dont know if the seller ask for that.

Why that happen is I want to pay with my credit card? I am confirmed and verified.. :s

I have the same problem not been able to pay with card as I don't get the option, what is going on? It was ok before. I need to use my card to pay for items on ebay, now I have to go elsewhere where I can use my card.

Check to make sure that PayPal has your credit or debit card's correct expiration date... login to your PayPal account, click on the "Profile" tab and click on the "Credit/Debit Cards" link.

If the expiration date is not correct, click on the "Edit" link to enter the correct expiration date.

Bank account funded payments are processed instantly if you have a credit/debit card backup funding source. PayPal essentially floats the seller a "loan" in anticipation of the funds clearing your bank account at a later date.

If PayPal doesn't have the correct expiration date for your credit/debit card, your bank account funded payments no longer have a backup funding source and will be processed as echecks which take 3-5 business days to clear.

One other possibility. If you have a PayPal account balance, you are not able to make a payment with a credit card.

Bumping this again, as I have the same problem.  I have a confirmed credit card and bank account linked to my account but still only get the option of paying through echeque.
