Safe or Scam?

I am very new to PayPal, and since the items in question(tickets) are both high value and prime for scammers, I need some help.

I found the tickets on eBay, there is two days left in the auction.  At the bottom of the description, it said to contact the seller for a "Buy it Now" price.  I contacted the seller, liked the price, seller asked for my PayPal email address so she could send me an invoice.  I sent her the email address associated with my PayPal account, and am waiting on the rest.  Does this sound fishy, or is this all standard procedure?  I just want to be sure before I part with my money.  Is there any protection for a transaction like this?

Thanks

Normally the Buy it Now price is posted.  This gives the buyer two options, one to bid or simply buy it now.  The seller is trying to go outside of eBay on this transaction.   I would not go there on this deal.
