Hi, I've had a wee bit of a problem with PayPal recently, which in the grand scheme of things is pretty big.
For some reason or another, probably an eBay purchase, my account has been limited. Fair enough, if something potentially dodgy has been bought you should be making sure it was me that bought it, but maybe not in this way.
I've completed 2/3 of the required resolutions, but the "completing your identity" section is where my problems lie. Off the bat, I never give documents that can be used for identity theft unless absolutely needed, and I'm sure you can understand my paranoia. So, because of this, I'm wanting to validate my identity through my phone. However, I upgraded phone in the end of October, and forgot to update my phone number on PayPal.
It's always the way that these things span out, but I've tried adding my new phone number under my restricted account - this worked. I then tried setting it as my primary contact number - this did not work.
If it's any help, I linked up my new phone and restricted PayPal account on the tenth of January, and I am happy to provide any information that doesn't aid in identity theft.
