Uppercase/lowercas in Paypal ids: does it matter?

We are used to use email addresses as Paypal identifiers, and e-mail addresses are not case sensitive (for example, if I send and email to someone at google.com or to SoMeOne at google.com, it is just the same and will arrive in the same mailbox).

Is it the same for Paypal account? If I send money to someone at google.com or to SoMeOne at google.com, will it arrive to the same person?

I am asking the question because somebody claims to have sent money to my account using a capilaised first letter instead of lowercase, but nothing arrived...

Not sure but if it has not gone through it should show as unclaimed with a cancel option in your buyers paypal account.
