How do I switch from US paypal account to Canadian?

I just signed up for a new PayPal account and it asks me for my address - and only gives me the option to put in a US address... but I'm in Canada.

Do I need to get a Canadian account? How do I do this using the same email address?

Sounds as if you have opened a U.S account and not a Canadian one?

Paypal is country specific so when you click to register the default option is U.S as Paypal is a U.S company but you are supposed to click on the drop down box and select your country to open a paypal account for your country.

Click on the settings icon next to log out and the close account option is on the left side of that page.
