How to stop my old name from showing up on PayPal transactions on my bank statements?

I legally changed my name, updated my name with PayPal, and provided the necessary documentation. My name is current IN PayPal, but anytime I send money, the transaction on my bank statement displays my old name. For example: PAYPAL INST XFER 12345 PYPL PAYIN4 OLD NAME It does this for any type of PayPal transaction where I send money (pay from checking account, credit card, BNPL, paying friends and family, paying a merchant, etc). It's been over 10 years since my I updated my name with PayPal and this has always been an issue. Is there anything I can do to make PayPal stop this? It's literally the only organization that uses my old name. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about your negative experience. I do understand your concern. It sounds like your name may need to be manually updated under the payment section of your account. To request this, please contact our customer support directly. This can be done by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page.
