I cannot login to my PayPal account

I cannot login to my PayPal account, because I cannot get past the "Add your phone number" screen, as I do not have a mobile phone. How can I bypass or avoid that screen?

You need a mobile phone to access your paypal account.

Paypal are using mobile phones for i.d requirements for logging in and withdrawal funds for extra security measures.

That's NOT ACCEPTABLE!!
I have no interest in having a mobile phone, and they cannot force or coerce me to get one.

There MUST be a way to get into my account without having a mobile phone... ANYONE???

Nope they can't force you to get a phone (can't imagine why anyone would not have one though).

However they can stop you using your paypal account if you do not have one.

You can contact customer services to help you access your account but once in it you would need to add a phone.

You need to close it, click on settings cog next to log out and the close account option on the left OR contact customer services to close it for you.

I was not able to access my PayPal account as I was not able to give them a mobile phone number as I do not have a mobile phone and do not want one..    After many trys I finally was able to speak to a person in Customer Service and they arranged it that they would use my landline phone number to confirm my identity rather than requiring a mobiile number.    So now when the screen comes up to add a mobile number,  underneath the "Add Mobile Number" there is added a "Not now" which I can click on and get access to my acccount.
