Is 2FA through Authy possible to two different cell phones?

Using Authy, I have enabled 2FA so that the six digit code can be received on both my phone and my wife's phone, this for our shared Amazon account. How do I achieve the same setup for my PayPal account? We both need access to the one PP account.

Hi @Charles218

Welcome to the PayPal Community! Here's a help center article with more information about 2 Factor authentication. If you're still running into issues after that, please feel free reach out to our Customer Support teams by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page.

I hope that helps!

Mujahid - Unfortunately, this does not solve my issue, let me explain. I already have 2FA enabled on the account, I use Authy to retrieve verification codes. What I need is the ability for my wife to also receive the codes on her phone, so, 2 phones, 1 PP account. We have our shared Amazon account setup that way, but now need to get PP setup in the same manner.

Hi @Charles218,

Thank you for your post! I'm not sure if that is possible. A Personal PayPal account is meant to be used by one individual.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Olivia

Hello Olivia, thank you for responding.

"I'm not sure if that is possible." - From my experience using Authy on our Amazon account, I can say that it is definitely possible, it appears that either the steps to do it are not obvious or PP has not enabled this feature. The problem that I have is that we must make a choice between not having the extra security that 2FA offers, or my wife and I both having access to my account, but with less security. I can think of several reasons why it would be good for both of us to have access to each others account, doing so with 2FA should not be a stumbling block. Because of the great potential for harm if hackers find their way in, I think that 2FA is a must.
