Not receiving SMS from PayPal

Hello, for about a week I have not been able to access my account. Every time I try to log into my account, it says they need a quick security check. Every time I choose a "text" I don't receive it. When I choose "Contact" on the other hand, it goes directly to a screen that says "Sorry, we can't verify your identity" without even contacting me. This is very frustrating because it was working fine a few days ago. I have my metro and transporter computers, hope that helps. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Note: This is not my main account. Please solve my problem. If you want information about my account that I cannot access, I will give you my phone number, the country, my account password and email (only for PayPal employees)

I understand you're unable to log into your PayPal account because the security code isn't coming through. I'm sorry to hear that; I know how frustrating that can be. I have a couple of troubleshooting steps that will hopefully help. First, I recommend restarting your phone. This can help reset your connection to the network. You want to ensure you're not roaming. Next, double-check that your inbox isn't full or if any apps are filtering SMS. If those are all fine, and the text message still doesn't come through, I'd check with your service provider to ensure you can receive SMS. Some providers have to enable it. One last step that might help is to switch your SIM card to another phone. This can help narrow down if the issue could be device-related. 

If you still can't receive the messages after trying these troubleshooting steps, you can reach our Customer Support by scrolling down to the bottom of our website and selecting 'Contact.' From there, click Password and Account Access, and then Login Problems to review the different contact options. Alternatively, Support is also available if you send a DM to @AskPayPal on Twitter or a PM to facebook.com/PayPal.

I have had this before.. it is rare for me.. usually get a text within a few seconds.

.. in fact I just had it happen on trying to pay for an eBay item.

 

I did Google it first but then remembered I had re-booted my phone the last time so I tried it again and after it restarted -  Voila.!

 

I had five texts come through instantly from PayPal (from the failed retries) I chose the last text and entered the code and purchase went through.
