Password Automative System wants to use my old password to send a link

Unable to change password. When I called the Credit Card Department automatic system on the phone still wants to send a link to my old email address that I changed months ago. When I called about the issue all I got FROM 3 PEOPLE ON A RECORDED LINE was that they had no clue why it was doing that and they made no effort to send in a technical support ticket. They seemed lazy
