Retrieve old username

Hi, I accidentally closed my account & now I am unable to retrieve my old username. Does anyone know how long does it take before the username (handle) is available again?

I'm sorry you're having trouble retrieving your old username. If you're referring to your Community Forum username, please let us know what you would like to change your username to and we can see if it's available. If it is, we'll update it for you. If you're referring to a PayPal.me link, unfortunately, that name cannot be retrieved. A PayPal.me link can only be used once, even if the account is closed. If you ever want to make any changes to a PayPal.me link, you can request it updated by reaching out to Customer Support. You can contact Customer Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page for further assistance. Support is also available through Facebook private message or Twitter direct message.
