I received notice of a paypal transaction that I didn't recognize. The ship to address is not mine. I logged onto Paypal to look into it and saw this same message everyone else here is seeing "Get more details in your Paypal China account." The link did not work, and after reading this conversation I'm kind of glad it didn't.
I found the transaction and clicked on go to Resolution Center. I get an error saying I cannot dispute this type of transaction. I've never seen that error before. I have seen one saying I needed to wait for the transaction to be complete, but I've never just seen an error.
I changed my password. I tried to turn on two step verification, but it kept telling me my phone number wasn't valid. So many errors! What is going on, Paypal?

I got the same link in my transactions today (Oct. 7th). Not a word from PayPal. Dead link, but this is a serious issue PayPal should be publicizing as vocally as possible. I do so much business through Facebook ads and my client subscriptions through PP. What. The. Hell?!

I spoke to somebody at PayPal and they said it was a bug. However, when I explained how this was extremely unlikely (I have some IT experience), she agreed with me that it sounded a lot more like a hack.
It looks like the media are finally picking this up: A PayPal Link to a Chinese Website Has Sellers on Edge (ecommercebytes.com)

I noticed tonight I have the same issue I'm seeing the "Get more details in your Paypal China account" link. I use PayPal for my credit card transaction processing for my website. I signed up for seller protection and pay an extra 0.4% per transaction. I notice that all the customers pay using PayPal the seller protection is in place and the customer shipping address shows up on the Transaction details page. On credit card transaction no customer ship to address is showing up, and no seller protection. Are my customers at risk? Am I at risk?

Welcome to the PayPal Community,
Hello @Bill369, thanks for reaching out on this one. After reviewing your screenshot, it looks like that payment was a Direct Card Payment, which means it was most likely either collected in person through PayPal Here or through our Website Payments Pro product, is that right? If so, that may explain why there's address collected or Seller Protection. You can read more about what protections are offered for PayPal Here transactions and Direct Card payments here. If those don't apply to this specific transaction, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support teams for further clarification.
Hi @cbpulse, your concern does not seem to be related to this issue. After reviewing your other posts, I see you've stated you've already reached out to our Customer Support for assistance and they've advised your payments are being declined for security reasons. You can also read more here about Why we perform security checks from time to time. My apologies for any inconvenience this presents.
Regards,
- Jon K

OK it's been 4 weeks since a link started appearing on all transaction pages. Check your paypal out - I betcha you have it and don't even know. Click on the "activity" tab, click "all transaction", then click any transaction name to see the transaction detail. Betcha you see a blue link under the transaction number which states "Get more details in your Paypal China account".
Now this link started appearing on Sept. 10th-11th. The same exact time frame Paypal was being hit with a DDOS attack. How do I know, I actually called paypal tech and sure enough they were under a DDOS attack. This caused paypal website to be unresponsive for quite a few hours.
Paypal tech support states a week ago they now know about the link and it's an urgent matter to get it fixed! Now granted it sounds like Paypal had no clue this link was there since they can't see what we see in our account details.
Paypal tried to tell people it was internal and some employee did it - I'm not buying it, are you? The link goes to a website called https://www.paypa.cn/
Notice there is no "L" on paypal. If you search whois this website just created on 2021-12-26 to some Chinese location. Some people are now reporting that they clicked on the link and now having issues with their account.
How bad is this hack? Who knows as it seems like Paypal can't get it removed from anyone's account page right now.
If you have the link (chances are you do), submit a case to Paypal so you can be updated when and if they ever figure this breach out. Change your paypal password. If someone has any pull with Paypal, can you ask them what the heck is going on????????

I have also just started seeing the "Get More Details in Your Paypal China Account" on all of my transaction pages. I tried to contact PayPal but this just seems impossible. I am so worried about a potential hack. The customer service explanations seem very vague and misleading.
Following this treat for updates.
