When doing a Celsius claim of crypto, the Paypal site requires the birthdate in the format MMDDYYYY. When inserting the birthdate, the Paypal site automatically inserts "/ in the date so it appears as MM/DD/YYYY. Then you get an error message that you need to format the date as MMDDYYYY. BUT, you cannot enter the 8 digits in the MMDDYYYY format. How can you enter the date in the proper format when the Paypal system auto enters "/? I've tried it using Chrome, Edge, and Safari browsers. They all do the same "/" auto insertion.
Paypal customer service tells me that the system properly puts in the "/" in the date and there is no way to stop it. Yet, you cannot process the claim because the Paypal system says the date is in the wrong format.
The paypal error message is:
- Make sure to remove any spaces or special characters and use this format:
- 2 digit month
- 2 digit day
- 4 digit year
Yet, the site auto inserts "/"
Any suggestion on how to enter the date without the site auto entering "/" would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue and sent it to Stretto, but haven't heard anything back. Did you ever get this figured out?

Posting an update:
- I realized that I didn't register myself with Paypal to accept their crypto terms. To do this, at their Crypto page, hit "send" or "receive" to start the process. They say it takes about 2 days for them to confirm your info.
- Wait 2 days
- Enter in claim info and birthdate. The slashes will still show up, and ran into the same error again. I had to submit it a few times before it accepted.
Good luck!

Yes this is correct. You may need to provide birthdate and driver's license info and then be approved. After I did all that (I can't remember exactly all that I did) then I was able to enter my claim code and my birthdate and there was no error. The form did still put in a / mark between the digits of my full birthdate. I am disappointed that on this screen an error message does not pop up to say "please register your personal details with PayPal in order to use this service." A simple message like that would have saved me and the customer service help desk a great deal of time.
Thank you!
