DELETE my account GDPR

Hi,

My name is Andreas, I've used your service in the past. However, I'm now making the conscious decision to reduce my digital footprint.

As a result I ask you to please delete any personal data of mine you have stored on your systems.

Would appreciate your cooperation and an email confirming when the deletion has been completed.

It says my account is limited, and therefor i cant delete my account. I live in EU, and GDPR give me the right to delete my account.

Sadly you can't close a permanently limited account. Paypal limits it to stop you removing anything from it.
They don't want you to be able to use anything linked to it to try and open another Paypal account.

Also read paypals privacy statement in paypals legal user agreement for your country.

If you would like a way to contact customer services then maybe ask politely and someone will give up their time to try and help you.

You're absolutely right, and I appreciate your suggestion. Politeness is key when reaching out for assistance. How can I contact them directly via text? The website just seems to send me through an endless loop.

Thank you for your post. I understand the frustration of being unable to delete your account. As @kernowlass mentioned, if the limitation is permanent or otherwise unresolved, the necessity of retaining that record is such that the account is not subject to deletion. If there is an option to resolve the limitation, doing so will allow the account to be freed up and deletion will be possible.

If you do need assistance from a Customer Care representative, you can click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website to see options, or you can alternatively reach out by PM on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter/X.
